ABOUT AMY HANUS
Amy Hanus is a dedicated health advocate and the Program Director at the Ardmore Institute of Health (AIH), a non-profit foundation. She leads AIH’s Full Plate Living free nutrition resource for clinicians, communities, and individuals, which empowers people to add more whole, unprocessed fiber foods to meals they’re already eating. It’s a small-step approach that can lead to big health outcomes.

What brings Amy the greatest satisfaction is celebrating when a member reaches a health goal, like seeing a number on the scale they haven’t seen in years, wowing their doctor with an improved A1C or lower cholesterol, or when clinicians thank her for sharing free programs that improve the health of their patients.
Amy earned her Bachelor of Science in Health Education: Exercise Science from Georgia College and State University and attained the American College of Sports Medicine Exercise Physiologist certification. She previously served as Director of Fitness and Therapy for the Ardmore Institute of Health’s former residential program until its closing in 2008. Amy’s current position as Program Director allows her to fulfill her passion for helping others make healthy lifestyle changes in a simple and fun way through Full Plate Living’s free programs
In her spare time, she and her husband enjoy traveling to see their children and grandchildren, cooking delicious fiber-focused meals, and experiencing the country in their Airstream with their schnauzer, Maverick.
